I would like to welcome you and your child to Marlborough Primary School.
Commencing school is a milestone for your child and for you as parents. It is another step towards independence and the development of a strong educational and social foundation. We do all that we can to ensure that your child enjoys a positive introduction to school, followed by a happy, stimulating and successful primary education.
At Marlborough Primary School we develop their skills as independent learners and problem solvers. We have a strong emphasis on Literacy, Numeracy and Learning Technologies Computer Education.
Our excellent reputation for improving children’s learning is achieved by:
- Active participant in Quality in Schools Project
- Intensive Literacy and Numeracy programs – with an emphasis on small group targeted teaching.
- Parent involvement with school and home literacy.
- Computers are an integrated part of classroom and library programs.
- All staff highly skilled in Learning Technologies.
- A caring committed professional and cohesive staff.
- Prep Buddy System.
- A positive student welfare program including "Teaching Human Values"
- Transition Programs for Preps and Grade 6, within units and for new students at other levels.
- Gifted and Talented Program fro Preps and Grade 6.
Good quality education is a partnership between students, parents and staff. We welcome parent involvement in all aspects of school like and maintain open communication between school and home. Please contact the school if you have any concern or would like clarification on any issue. We have a comprehensive reporting program which includes parent/teacher interviews and a Report and comments in Term 2 and Term 4.
